Luanna

I am finding joy, healing, and redemption in my ability to access ancestral wisdom and memory. Everyday we are assaulted by oppressive and interlocking institutions of oppression. The daily realities of racism, sexisim, and classism inflicted on my mind, body, and spirit drains me of my vital energy. I visit my ancestral well and my thirst is quenched and my body renewed. I did not always know how to speak directly to my Grandmothers. To be honest, I did not know I could speak to loved ones in other realms. That is neither here nor there. What matters now, is that when I feel alone, I can call on my kindred to refill my cup with their eternal love. The ones who dehumanize and render us invisible might not know this, but we KNOW that we have an army of ancestors who are ready and willing to fight for our right to live.
