Love Poems

The poem below was written during a time when I felt that in order to feel love truly work then I needed to let it run and thus breath. This way it grows organically and the possibility of falling in love over and over again is likely.

Love’s Current

Love’s Current
March comes in & rolls out like the tide
The tide-
White sand Blue waters
Deeper than Deep
No bottom, Endless depth-
That’s how deep my love is & That’s how it will keep coming back Rolling over & over again crashing against your heart-
Feel its strength, feel my love-
Take a dip
The current is strong but flow with it & not against it
You will come out the other side
Not tired
But Safe
Imagine that!

Let Love Run

Love has no ownership- no boss- no direction
It sets its own course & speed
I can only enjoy the ride that it takes us on
For if I try to control love- To bottle it up as some type of remedy & cure Then she will evade you

And when love is gone, she is not easily forgotten.
Her scent lingers
Her touch- you will try to reenact over & over never to duplicate because the touch you once had was not forced-
Let Love Run
Give love all I want without expectations & I will see.
She will creep back to me when I never expected her to resurface
When she does, remember to not grab the wheel,
Let this sail boat go as the wind takes her or
I will surely crash upon the shores once again.
Let Love Run

Many times I tried to force the hands of love and ended up alone. Finally I let love run its course and though some love evolves and paths go in opposite directions, the love remains strong in the friendship. No matter what stay friends and let love run.

I Love What I Have

Only love what you have
And what I have is amazing
Living the Life
Sharing my life and they sharing theirs with me.
When our paths cross I will give you my time & I thank you for yours. Appreciate, for ever how long, and it may stick around
I love what I have.

Limiting expectations and loving only what we already have makes each new thing that comes in our lives that much greater and exciting. We are enough and we are blessed. Pouring my all into what I already have brings happiness.
